The Introductction of Rotenone
Rotenone is an organic compound with the formula C23H22O6. It is found in the roots of the legume genus produced in tropical and subtropical Asia, and also in some Chinese herbs such as the seed of the melon, the bitter sandalwood, and the root of the Kunming spatholoba. Almost insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform and many other organic solvents. It decomposes when exposed to light and air. Its solution in organic solvents is colorless, and when it is exposed to air, it is oxidized, turning yellow, orange, and then dark red, and can precipitate dehydrorotenone and rotenedione crystals, which are toxic to insects.
The Application & Function of Rotenone
Rotenone is widely present in the root bark of plants. It is a highly specific substance in toxicology. It has strong touch killing and stomach poisoning effects on insects, especially the larva of butterfly butterfly, Diamondback moth and aphids. Earlier studies have shown that rotenone's mechanism of action is mainly to affect the respiration of insects, and mainly to interact with a component between NADH dehydrogenase and coenzyme Q. Rotenone inhibits the electron transport chain of the pest cells, thereby reducing the level of ATP in the organism and ultimately depriving the pest of energy supply, and then sluggish action, paralysis and slow death.
Aphids, planthopper, yellow stripe beetle, thrips, yellow guard melon, ape leaf worm, cabbage worm, Trichoplast moth, sugar beet moth, cabbage moth, etc.
To control rapeseed and aphids, use 4%· rotenone cream 80-120 ml, and water 30 kg spray.
Control of Diamondback moth with 4% rotenone cream 80-160 ml water 30 kg spray.
To prevent and control the moth, the acre preparation 4% rotenone cream 80-120 ml water 30 kg spray.
Prevention and treatment of vegetable nail, mu preparation 4% rotenone cream 80-160 ml water 30 kg spray.
1, strong specificity, rapid insecticidal; It has a strong killing effect on insects, especially aphids, thrips and hopping beetles, and has a strong touch and stomach poison effect on larva of butterfly butterfly and Diamondback moth.
2, long duration; The insecticidal duration of rotenone is long, about 10 days.
3, see light easy to decompose, very little residue; The liquid medicine on the surface of the leaves is easily decomposed by light, and will not pollute the environment. The application interval is 3 days.
4, safe for the environment, people and animals. In addition to harmful to aquatic animals, rotenone is safe for humans and animals, and will not pollute the environment.
